Mr. Crow is a graduate Electrical Engineer from The University of Alabama, 1971. Mr. Crow joined Garnet Electric in 1976, after gaining several years of industrial experience with Reynolds Metals Company. He has over 50 years experience in industrial and commercial/institutional construction. He has attended numerous professional and managerial Courses, including programs in Safety and Health Training.
John Charles Crow
Vice President / Project Manager
Mr. Crow received his Bachelor of Business Management from the University of North Alabama in 2015. He began his career as an outside sales representative in the electrical industry, he then became a field electrician for Garnet in 2016 working in a wide range of commercial, industrial and substations sites. He moved into an office position in 2019. His primary responsibilities in addition to project management are corporate safety, fleet, equipment, and tool management. He has recently been named Vice President of Garnet Electric.
General Manager / Project Manager
Mr. Skipworth joined Garnet in 1993 and has over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry. He served a 5-year apprenticeship training program with Garnet Electric, graduating in 1998. He worked with Garnet as a general foreman for 12 years before becoming a project manager. He is trained in all aspects of the electrical industry with an emphasis on industrial construction, telecommunications, high voltage distribution and motor controls. He has attended OSHA training courses as well as many other safety and environmental courses related to the electrical construction industry. He was recently named General Manager of Operations which involves overseeing all the project management department, general foreman and field employees.
Mr. Harrison received his Bachelor of Industrial Design from Auburn University in 2006. His 13 years of experience in the electrical industry began when he was hired at Garnet Electric in 2007. He served a 5-year apprenticeship at various commercial and industrial sites with Garnet Electric, graduating in 2012. He then spent the majority of his time working on substation construction projects. In 2016 he was promoted to a Project manager/ Estimator. He has experience in a wide variety of electrical construction including commercial and industrial construction, telecommunications, medium and high voltage installations, and substation construction.
Substation Project Manager
Mr. Espey has over forty years of experience in all aspects of substation construction.
He began his career as an engineering draftsman for Alabama Power, from there he moved to Clark Substations as a design draftsman. Clark Substations at that time was a substation steel, bus and equipment designer and packager. Later Wayne became a field supervisor for Clark. He became a substation construction supervisor for Service Electric in 1994 and spent 18 years in that capacity. Wayne joined Garnet Electric in 2012 as a substation estimator and project manager. During his career Wayne has built or supervised substation projects from 15KV to 500KV. He has attended many OSHA training classes, especially those related to substation construction. He is also a Selcat instructor which is a training program for Lineman and Substation Technicians for the IBEW in the southeast.
Justin has been with Garnet Electric since 2012. He has a wide array of responsibilities such as procure and maintain common materials for job sites and our warehouse, coordinate deliveries and inventory movement from warehouse and supply houses. In addition to his other roles he is responsible for the fleet trucks and routine equipment maintenance.
Michele has been with Garnet Electric since 2003. She has over 20 years of experience within the accounting profession. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Athens State University in 2003. She leads our full-service in-house accounting team and is responsible for day-to-day operation, production of financial reports, and preparation for annual audits.
AR Clerk / Job Cost Analyst
Tanya is a 1989 graduate of the University of North Alabama and has been with Garnet Electric since 2011. She is responsible for processing all accounts receivable invoicing to our customers for both contract and T&M projects, working with customers to resolve discrepancies, collections, and sales reporting. In addition, she works closely with our company project managers to monitor and compare budgeted versus actual costs, analyzes inaccuracies, and prepares weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
AP Clerk / Payroll Specialist
Shannon has been with Garnet Electric since 2017. She handles all payroll processing for the company and accounts payable entries. In addition to those duties she is also our receptionist.
